Portrait photography has changed from the formal style which was used in the past, to the more relaxed lifestyle photography, so Alex and Janet do not work from a studio.  Instead, they work in and around the Castleford, Pontefract, Wakefield and Leeds areas and offer a fun and informal portrait service which can be undertaken in the comfort of your own home, either featuring your home environment as a background to your portrait or using a studio backdrop, both employing professional studio lighting techniques.  Alternatively, you may prefer a location or an environmental portrait session at a local park, woodland or other beauty spot.  Children in particular enjoy a environmental shoot as it allows them the freedom to play and express themselves, allowing their personalities to shine through and resulting in beautiful, natural photographs.  There is no time limit imposed on your portrait session and no limit to the number of images captured.

Following your portrait session, your images can be uploaded to a secure, password protected gallery to enable you to view them within a few days of the shoot and make your selection.  An appointment will be made so that you can view the range of contemporary framing options which are available to display your portrait at its very best.  In addition to their range of frames, Alex and Janet offer canvas wraps, metallic effect prints and their new acrylics which are simply stunning in today's modern homes.  To give you an even greater choice, why not ask Alex and Janet to design a montage of images for you instead of restricting yourself to choosing only one image to be framed?  These are particularly suited to baby and children's photography, as very often many moods and expressions are captured during a single shoot.  Your montage print can be personalised with the child's name to make it a piece of photographic artwork rather than simply a photograph. 

As a professional photographer who often works with children, Alex has been issued with a CRB disclosure which he feels is essential in order to give assurance to their parents that they are employing the services of someone they can trust.  The importance of this cannot be overemphasised.
